Avelo Airlines announced in April that it will offer two new, non-stop routes that to connect travelers to Daytona Beach International Airport.
Avelo Airlines announced exclusive nonstop service from Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) to Southern Connecticut’s most convenient airport, Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) – the gateway to the New England and New York regions. Avelo’s new service ushers in a new era of affordable, convenient and reliable air travel at DAB, becoming the airport’s first low-fare airline.
Avelo’s nonstop service begins on June 22 with twice-weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays. The route will be operated by Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. Customers can make reservations at AveloAir.com.
Additionally, Avelo Airlines also announced in April that it is expanding service at Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) with exclusive nonstop flights to Delaware’s Wilmington Airport (ILG) – a convenient and easy alternative to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Avelo will be the only airline flying between Daytona Beach and The First State.
Wilmington Airport is conveniently located a short drive south of Philadelphia – offering a refreshingly smooth and simple hometown airport experience. ILG’s adjacency to multiple major highways makes it the Delaware Valley’s most convenient and travel-friendly airport, encompassing portions of four states: Delaware, Southeastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey and the northern Eastern Shore of Maryland.
The non-stop flight will operate twice-weekly on Mondays and Fridays utilizing 189-seat Boeing Next-Generation 737-800 aircraft. One-way fares between DAB and ILG currently start at $69*.
Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said, “Daytona Beach – just two weeks since announcing Avelo’s arrival at DAB, we’re at it again! This new route to the Wilmington / Philadelphia area exemplifies our ongoing commitment to bringing Avelo’s low fares, industry-leading reliability and caring service to Daytona Beach travelers. Getting to the four-state Delaware Valley region is now easier than ever.”
Daytona Beach International Airport Director Karen Feaster said, “We are thrilled that our second non-stop flight on Avelo will launch the day after the inaugural flight from New Haven. Wilmington, Delaware is another strong market for travelers coming to and traveling from DAB. Adding these flights just in time for summer travel is sure to bring new visitors to our beautiful area and give our locals a great new non-stop destination.”
When the inaugural flights land on June 22nd, and June 23rd, visitors will be greeted with a special warm, welcome in VIP style. Daytona Beach International Airport will be releasing more updates on the inaugural welcome in the coming days.
