The flight schedule includes a morning departure from Rome at 9:15 a.m., arriving in Tripoli at 12:10 p.m. For the return journey, flights leave Tripoli at 1:05 p.m. and land back in Rome at 2:10 p.m.
This reliable schedule offers a seamless travel experience for passengers, catering to both business and leisure travelers looking to explore or work in Libya.
Libya has become an increasingly significant market for ITA Airways as the airline works to bolster Italy’s presence in the region. By providing a direct link, ITA Airways supports several major Italian companies operating in Libya, which are involved in essential industrial projects that contribute to economic growth in both countries.
The resumption of direct flights between Rome and Tripoli is the result of collaborative efforts between ITA Airways and various Italian and Libyan government bodies. This route was made possible with support from Italy’s Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and the Ministry of Transport, along with the involvement of civil aviation authorities from both countries, including ENAC and the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority.
Andrea Benassi, General Manager of ITA Airways, emphasized the importance of this route: “ITA Airways has worked tirelessly, in close cooperation with the Prime Minister’s Office, the Government, and ENAC, to establish regular connections between Italy and Libya. Libya is a highly important market, and this route will enhance trade between our nations while supporting the many Italian businesses operating in the North African country.”
With Tripoli added to its network, ITA Airways will serve a total of 55 destinations in the winter season, expanding its international reach and offering travelers more options. This new route reflects the airline’s commitment to meeting market demands and supporting Italy’s economic and diplomatic interests abroad.
Tickets for the Rome Fiumicino – Tripoli flights are now available through ITA Airways’ official channels, including its website at www.ita-airways.com, the airline’s Customer Information Assistance Office, travel agencies, and airport ticket offices.
For travelers planning business or leisure trips to Libya, this new direct route from Rome offers an efficient and comfortable travel experience, further solidifying ITA Airways’ role as a bridge between Italy and important markets in North Africa.
