ITA Airways is enhancing its São Paolo – Rome Fiumicino direct flight to meet the expected increase in demand. Starting from August 2023, the Company will add 4 weekly frequencies to its daily connections between Brazil and Italy.
ITA Airways’ new frequencies from São Paulo will be operated with the Airbus A330, departing on Monday, Tuesday Thursday, and Sunday at 7:00 pm and landing at Rome Fiumicino at 11:45 am, local time. New flights from Rome will be operated departing at 9:40 am and arriving in São Paulo at 5:00 pm, local time on Monday, Tuesday Thursday, and Sunday.
The introduction of additional frequencies in the direct connection from São Paolo to Rome Fiumicino is further evidence of the Company’s strong investment in the Brazilian market and will allow ITA Airways to further strengthen its expansion in South America, which is a preferred destination for Italian travelers and one of the countries with the largest populations of Italian origin as well as a destination easily accessible via Rome from all ITA Airways main gateways in Europe and in the Mediterranean countries.
Thanks to these new frequencies, the Company will increase its offer to 11 weekly roundtrip flights between São Paolo and Rome. This offer will be integrated in late October with the launch of the direct flight Rio de Janeiro – Rome Fiumicino, which will operate 7 weekly roundtrip flights and will bring to 18 the total number of frequencies between Brazil and Italy.
With the new destination in Brazil, ITA Airways will be able to offer to customers additional options in terms of departure and arrival times as well as connectivity with other flights to different domestic destination in Brazil, operated by ITA Airways’ partners through special agreements. Thanks to the codeshare flights with Azul – Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras, and the commercial agreements GOL Airlines e LATAM Airlines, ITA Airways customers will be able to fly from São Paolo International Airport to all the domestic destinations within Brazil, connecting via São Paulo and the 11 weekly frequencies from Rome.
To support the increased flight schedule between Brazil and Italy and reinforce awareness of the brand, ITA Airways is launching a multi-channel advertising campaign that will run in São Paolo through April 10th. The communication creates a direct link between the flagship carrier and Italy by showing some of the most inspiring destinations. The campaign will be visible on digital billboards in main shopping malls and subway stations as well as online.
