KLM’s Summer 2025 Schedule: More Flights to U.S., India & Europe

KLM is expanding its summer 2025 schedule with new destinations, increased flight frequencies, and additional aircraft.

With service to 161 destinations—including 95 in Europe and 66 intercontinental—KLM is set to offer 4% more seats than in summer 2024. However, intercontinental capacity remains at 90% of pre-pandemic levels, impacted by aircraft part delivery delays and pilot shortages.

Travelers can now enjoy new KLM routes to San Diego (United States), Georgetown (Guyana), and Hyderabad (India), further strengthening the airline’s global network. Additionally, KLM will continue serving Portland (United States) after adding it to its winter 2024 schedule. To support its long-haul expansion, KLM will introduce three new Boeing 787-10 aircraft on intercontinental routes this summer.

More Flights to North America & Asia

KLM is boosting service to key destinations, offering more flights and greater capacity on high-demand routes. Some of the most notable increases include:

  • Tanzania: KLM’s combined Kilimanjaro and Dar es Salaam route will become a daily service from June, increasing available seats by 30% compared to summer 2024. However, Zanzibar will no longer be served.
  • Japan: Flights to Osaka will operate up to five times per week starting in April.
  • United States: Las Vegas flights will increase to daily service, up from five times per week.
  • Brazil: Rio de Janeiro will have daily flights, continuing its winter schedule.
  • Canada: Edmonton flights will run five times weekly, increasing to six flights during peak travel periods.

In total, KLM will offer 10% more flights to North America than in summer 2024, making it easier for travelers to reach the U.S. and Canada.

For football fans traveling to the United States for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, KLM’s expanded summer schedule offers more flights to key U.S. cities, making it easier to attend the tournament.

New European Destinations & Increased Frequencies

KLM’s European network is also expanding, with three new destinations added for summer 2025:

  • Ljubljana (Slovenia)
  • Exeter (United Kingdom)
  • Biarritz (France)

Additionally, KLM is streamlining Milan flights, consolidating all operations at Linate Airport for easier access to the city center. As a result, flights to Milan Malpensa will be discontinued.

Several European routes will also see frequency increases:

  • Belfast (UK)Two daily flights
  • Porto (Portugal)Four daily flights
  • Barcelona (Spain)One additional daily flight
  • Split (Croatia)Twice daily in spring and autumn
  • Krakow & Poznan (Poland)Extra flights added

These changes will result in 25% more seats to Portugal and Croatia compared to last summer, offering travelers more flexibility for their European getaways.

More Aircraft & Upgraded Fleet

KLM is enhancing its fleet for summer 2025 by doubling the number of Airbus A321neo aircraft from five to ten. The fuel-efficient, modern aircraft will be deployed on an increasing number of European routes, providing passengers with a more sustainable and comfortable travel experience.

With new destinations, increased flight frequencies, and additional aircraft, KLM’s summer 2025 schedule brings more options for travelers across North America, Europe, and Asia. Whether you’re flying for business or leisure, KLM is making it easier to reach some of the world’s most exciting destinations.
