LOT Polish Airlines joins APG Platform, giving travel agents worldwide enhanced access to the carrier’s full NDC content — without the usual distribution surcharges. This strategic partnership with APG, the world’s largest airline representation network, opens up new booking capabilities and service options for more than 2,500 travel agencies across 140 countries.
Modern Distribution Without the Fees
The integration means travel agents using the APG NDC portal can now access LOT’s complete fare inventory, including exclusive offers and no-bag fares, without incurring the typical GDS EDIFACT surcharge of €16 / $17. It’s a win for both agencies and travelers seeking flexible, cost-effective air travel options with one of Central Europe’s most established carriers.
“Making LOT’s NDC content available on the APG Platform supports our efforts to expand the reach of our modern distribution channels,” said Dawid Karaś, Deputy Sales Director and Head of NDC at LOT Polish Airlines. “It provides travel agencies with convenient access to our full offer, including competitive fares, ancillary services, and no distribution surcharge — adding value for both agents and passengers.”
Streamlined Booking and Servicing
The partnership delivers a full end-to-end booking solution, allowing agents to complete transactions with greater flexibility. The APG Platform supports key functions such as cancellations, refunds, and voids, as well as the ability to add ancillaries like baggage and onboard meals during booking. Features like seat selection and post-ticket changes are also in development, promising an even smoother user experience soon.
Héloïse Parrain, APG Platform Director, highlighted the significance of the collaboration: “We’re happy to be partnering with LOT Polish Airlines to extend the offer in Europe to our network of partner travel agencies. Through the APG Platform, agencies can avoid surcharges and benefit from exclusive promotions.”
Boosting Reach and Revenue for Agents
With this move, LOT Polish Airlines taps into a rapidly evolving travel retail ecosystem. The APG Platform now hosts 36 airline partners, enabling travel agents to expand their catalogs and generate new revenue streams by combining air and non-air services — including hotels, car rentals, Wi-Fi access, and even lounge bookings.
The platform, built on advanced XML technology and aligned with IATA NDC standards, is accessible to both IATA and non-IATA agencies. Its wide reach — promoted across more than 150 countries through the APG Network — ensures that LOT’s distribution gains are not limited to Europe, but truly global in scale.
LOT: A Legacy Airline Embracing Innovation
Founded in 1929, LOT Polish Airlines is one of the world’s oldest carriers, known for connecting Central and Eastern Europe to global markets. Its long-haul network includes direct routes to the U.S., Canada, India, Japan, and South Korea, all operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The airline is also one of Poland’s largest e-commerce players and a technological leader in the local aviation market.
By joining the APG Platform, LOT reinforces its reputation not just as a reliable airline but as a forward-thinking digital distributor. The partnership aligns with LOT’s broader strategy to modernize and streamline sales, particularly in markets where agency relationships remain vital.
For travel professionals worldwide, the announcement signals a clear opportunity: more choice, fewer fees, and easier access to a carrier known for its efficiency, comfort, and extensive international reach.
