BBN Airlines Indonesia, a subsidiary of Avia Solutions Group specializing in ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance & Insurance), air charter, and air freight services, is set to make waves in Indonesia’s aviation industry.
On August 31st, 2023, the airline received its Airline Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Directorate of Airworthiness and Aircraft Operations of Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation. The certificate verifies that BBN Airlines Indonesia has met all international and national aviation safety standards, granting the airline permission to commence commercial flights immediately.
Martynas Grigas, Chairman of BBN Airlines Indonesia, stated, “The AOC reflects our readiness to meet Indonesia’s growing aviation needs in multiple sectors, including airlines, tour operators, cargo, and logistics. We have conducted in-depth research to identify peak seasons and are well-positioned to support increased demand, providing fast, reliable, safe, and comfortable service.”
Initially, BBN Airlines will operate a fleet of two Boeing 737-800Fs dedicated to air freight services. By the end of 2023, the company aims to operate nine aircraft for both air freight and passenger services.
“As ACMI providers are uncommon in Asia, we offer unique wet lease and mixed-crew options that can be customized to client needs,” added Grigas. “We guarantee the airworthiness of the aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance, while the lessee handles other operational aspects.”
BBN Airlines Indonesia plans to offer a broad array of services, including air charter flights for travelers with unique needs and air freight services aimed at the growing e-commerce sector, thus addressing Indonesia’s need for reliable and extensive cargo delivery options.
