Starting this Saturday, May 25th, in celebration of National Wine Day, Avelo Airlines is offering a special treat for its customers. Travelers departing from Sonoma County Airport (STS) can check a case of wine for free, allowing them to bring home memories of California Wine Country.
Avelo Airlines provides nonstop flights from STS to various destinations including Portland/Salem, Bend/Redmond, Boise, Kalispell, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs. This new initiative enhances the travel experience by combining affordable flights with the pleasure of savoring Sonoma’s renowned wines.

Passengers aged 21 or older can transport one case of wine, containing up to 12 bottles and weighing 50 lbs or less, at no extra cost. This offer is available exclusively for flights departing from Sonoma County Airport.
To ensure safe transport, travelers must pack their wine securely in protective cases or boxes using materials like Styrofoam, bubble wrap, or cardboard liners. Avelo Airlines will not provide packing supplies at the airport, so passengers should come prepared.
Before departure, customers need to present their properly packed wine case to an Avelo crewmember at the airport ticket counter. This simple process ensures that the wine is safely checked in and ready for the journey.
