SpiceJet Signs Interline Agreement with Hahn Air to Enhance Global Distribution

In a significant move to enhance its global distribution, SpiceJet, the Indian low-cost carrier, has recently signed an interline agreement with Hahn Air.

This partnership builds upon their existing collaboration since 2016, where SpiceJet has been available under Hahn Air’s H1 code in major Global Distribution Systems (GDSs). With this new agreement, the airline will additionally be accessible under their own SG code in the Amadeus GDS, expanding its reach to travel agents worldwide.

The interline agreement allows travel agents to issue SpiceJet flights using the insolvency-safe HR-169 ticket by selecting Hahn Air as the validating carrier. This ensures a secure and reliable ticketing process for travelers. Moreover, travel agents utilizing the Amadeus GDS will have the flexibility to combine SpiceJet’s flights with other partner airlines of Hahn Air, all on a single ticket. This seamless integration simplifies travel planning and enhances connectivity for passengers.

SpiceJet, headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, serves a wide range of destinations across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The airline has gained significant recognition for its exceptional services and performance. In 2022, SpiceJet received several prestigious awards, including the Safety Performer of the Year by DIAL and the Wings India Aviation Innovation Award. More recently, the airline was honored with the Bronze Stevie® Award for Customer Service Department of the Year.

With a fleet comprising of 27 Boeing and eight DHC Q400 aircraft, SpiceJet has established itself as a reliable and customer-focused airline. The interline agreement with Hahn Air strengthens SpiceJet’s distribution network, enabling access to over 190 markets worldwide. By partnering with Hahn Air and leveraging their extensive network of 350 airlines, SpiceJet aims to expand its global reach and provide international travelers with seamless connections throughout India and beyond, all under its own SG code.
