Moscow Domodedovo Airport launched the new segment of the passenger terminal – T2 – in test mode and served the first flight.
“T2 has witnessed the take-off of its first passengers. This is a new milestone both in the history of Domodedovo Airport and in the history of domestic civil aviation. It is gratifying that such a significant event took place during the airport’s 60th anniversary”, commented Alexei Artemenko, press secretary of Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
DME’s medical clinic, DMEMED, is already operating on the territory of the new segment, designed to take care of the health of travelers, and the largest mother and child room amongst all Moscow airports of the Moscow aviation hub will be opened in the near future.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport named after M.V. Lomonosov is one of the largest air hubs in Russia. In 2021, traffic amounted to 25 million passengers. Domodedovo was chosen for flights to Moscow by members of the world’s leading aviation alliances – Star Alliance and oneworld.
