Princess Cruises Unveils 2025 Alaska Season With New Glacier Itineraries

Princess Cruises begins its 2025 Alaska season with new glacier itineraries, enhanced cruisetours, and immersive onboard experiences that celebrate the natural beauty and culture of the Great Land. Launching in less than a month, the cruise line will sail with seven ships, five wilderness lodges, and a collection of unforgettable routes through five U.S. national parks.

Sailing from major ports including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, and Anchorage (Whittier), the Alaska season offers roundtrip and one-way voyages that showcase iconic destinations like Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier, and the Inside Passage. From towering fjords to glacier-fed waters teeming with wildlife, guests can expect breathtaking views from every angle—whether on deck, aboard glass-domed rail cars, or ashore.

New for 2025 are two standout itineraries. The Grand Princess will offer a 17-day roundtrip from Seattle visiting 10 ports and three glaciers, including Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier, and College Fjord. Meanwhile, the Ruby Princess will launch a 22-day Ultimate Alaska Solstice cruise from San Francisco, timed to coincide with the summer solstice, visiting 11 ports and four glaciers including Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier.

Island Princess

Also returning is the classic Voyage of the Glaciers, running between Vancouver and Anchorage with ships like Coral Princess, Caribbean Princess, and Sapphire Princess. These 7- to 14-day sailings pass through Glacier Bay and include port calls in Skagway, Ketchikan, and Juneau. For travelers eager to explore Alaska’s vast interior, Princess offers land-based cruisetours paired with these sailings, taking guests to Denali and beyond.

From Seattle, the Royal Princess and Discovery Princess will sail 7-day Inside Passage itineraries with glacier visits and stops in Victoria, Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway. From San Francisco, the Ruby Princess will run 11-day roundtrip cruises with varied glacier visits and port combinations. Vancouver will host 5- to 11-day roundtrip voyages aboard Grand Princess, Coral Princess, and Caribbean Princess.

Several sailings are still open for booking. Options include an 11-day cruise from Vancouver on Coral Princess (departing May 3), a 7-day Vancouver roundtrip on Grand Princess (June 24), and a special Nature & Adventure Voyage hosted by wildlife biologist Jeff Corwin aboard Discovery Princess (August 17). The Ruby Princess will also offer an 11-day roundtrip from San Francisco on August 22.

New Lodges and Expanded Cruisetours

Princess Cruises has expanded its cruisetour lineup in 2025, offering 9- to 15-day journeys that combine cruises with scenic rail travel and immersive land tours through up to five national parks. These include Glacier Bay, Denali, Wrangell St. Elias, Kenai Fjords, and Katmai. Guests stay at Princess-owned lodges, including the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge, which now boasts a renovated grand lobby and sweeping Denali views. Nearby, the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge debuts a retro-style coffee trailer serving specialty drinks and pastries.

“North to Alaska” Onboard Experiences

The award-winning “North to Alaska” program returns in 2025, bringing authentic Alaskan culture onboard. Park Rangers join cruises to Glacier Bay National Park, hosting presentations and offering live commentary from the bridge. Younger guests can take part in Junior and Teen Ranger activities. Passengers also enjoy campfire-style movie nights under the stars, folk music at the new Northern Lights Lounge, and live storytelling from mushers, photographers, and Alaska natives.

Stargazing sessions, interactive survival games, and “Puppies in the Piazza” offer hands-on fun and learning, while teen and youth centers host special Alaska-themed programs. For food lovers, the cruise line highlights Alaska’s culinary richness with locally sourced salmon, halibut, and rockfish served across all dining venues—from casual markets to specialty restaurants like The Catch by Rudi and Sabatini’s Trattoria.

Guests can also sip on themed cocktails like the Glacier Shake or Campfire Daiquiri, made with spirits from Anchorage Distillery and Denali Spirits. Alaskan craft beers are on tap, and the signature Love Line cocktail collection extends to the Alaska lodges as well.

Adventures Ashore

Princess Cruises also delivers memorable shore excursions that bring guests face to face with Alaska’s raw wilderness. Excursions include dog sledding camps in Skagway, glacier seaplane rides in Juneau, and immersive fishing tours in Ketchikan. Whether it’s photographing glaciers, spotting whales, or boarding the White Pass Scenic Railway, the 2025 season is designed to help travelers forge deep connections with the land and its people.

With a range of itineraries, onboard experiences, and land adventures, Princess Cruises continues to offer one of the most comprehensive ways to discover Alaska in 2025—an epic journey across glaciers, forests, and legends.
