Batumi Shines as the Host City for the WTA Europe Gala 2023

Batumi, Georgia, a burgeoning tourist destination, is all set to host the prestigious 30th anniversary World Travel Awards (WTA) Europe Gala Ceremony 2023, marking it as Europe’s new tourism hotspot.

This illustrious city is gearing up to welcome eminent travel industry leaders from across Europe for a three-day event, showcasing why Batumi is considered Europe’s most thrilling emerging destination.

The event, scheduled from 27th to 29th September, will offer attendees a glimpse into Batumi’s key tourist and heritage sites, concluding with the grand red-carpet WTA Europe Gala Ceremony on 29 September. This ceremony represents the third leg of the WTA’s milestone 30th-anniversary celebrations, aimed at recognizing and rewarding excellence in the travel industry. The awards span across various categories, including hotels, resorts, airlines, and tour operators.

Graham Cooke, the founder of WTA, expressed his excitement about Batumi being a part of their 30th-anniversary Grand Tour, stating, “Batumi is a rising star of tourism and a fascinating destination that everyone should visit. It offers new experiences and opportunities, and I look forward to an historic event that will be memorable for all.”

Batumi, the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, is renowned for its favorable all-season climate, located on the Black Sea coast, and is framed by the stunning snow-capped Ajara Mountains.
