Cancun to host World Travel Awards Latin America Ceremony 2025

The World Travel Awards (WTA) has revealed Cancún, Mexico, as the host city for its Latin America Ceremony 2025.

This prestigious event will bring together leading travel and tourism professionals for a glamorous red-carpet affair on 27 September.

The announcement was made during an exclusive signing ceremony in Madrid, hosted by the Secretaría Municipal de Turismo Cancún, just ahead of the 2025 FITUR International Tourism Trade Fair.

Hosting the WTA for the first time highlights Cancún’s thriving travel and tourism industry, as well as the allure of Quintana Roo. Located on the Caribbean coast of the Yucatán Peninsula, Cancún combines stunning beaches, rich cultural heritage, historic landmarks, and an abundance of activities, making it an ideal destination for this world-class event.

Graham Cooke, Founder, World Travel Awards, said, “After receiving applications from a strong field of prospective destinations, I am delighted to announce that World Travel Awards has selected Cancún as the Official Host Destination of the World Travel Awards Latin America Ceremony 2025.”

“I look forward to welcoming travel industry leaders from across Latin America to experience the many delights of Cancún, from fabulous beaches, tropical forests and legendary nightlife to ancient Mayan sites.”

Juan Pablo de Zulueta, Municipal Secretary of Tourism, Cancún: said, “We are honoured that, for the first time, we have been unanimously chosen to host the World Travel Awards Latin America Ceremony 2025 in Cancún. We look forward to welcoming you with open arms.”
