Autumn will be “in” in Brussels. The European capital will offer Brussels visitors and residents a real panorama of Belgian fashion and international trends.
A veritable hub of fashion innovation, Brussels is giving Belgian and international design top billing with several flagship events that will spice up the months of October and November.
Starting in October, from Brussels Fashion Days to the off-the-wall “customize me” event as well as the Ethno Tendance Fashion Week, the European capital will offer Brussels visitors and residents an opportunity to meet the designers, explore their world and even, quite possibly, take home one of their creations.
Brussels Fashion Days
This year Brussels Fashion Days, the essential fashion industry event, will take place at Tour and Taxis. On Saturday evening European designers will be honoured in the “European Fashion Show” parade. On the schedule: parades, a pop-up store with over 40 Belgian designers, DIY workshops (couture, accessory tailoring, beauty bars, live performances, as well as a Fashion Party put on by the Cat Club.

Ethno Tendance Fashion Week Brussels
For its 7th running, Ethno Tendance Fashion Week Brussels is taking over the Horta Gallery. It’s a wonderful opportunity for stylists and designers from all over to share their knowledge and experience and celebrate diversity in all its forms. On the schedule: fashion parades, designer and model competitions, pop-up store, beauty corner, expos, workshop, etc.

Czech & Slovak Fashion Festival
The Czech & Slovak Fashion Festival will assemble 18 designers at Halles Saint-Géry. There they will present their new men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, unique jewellery, design toys, and original accessories. It’s a great chance to meet Czech and Slovak fashion designers. Recycling workshops featuring modern embroidery and creative couture are planned.

Customize me
This year the MAD Brussels Fashion and Design Platform will host “Customize Me”. Organised by Bernard Gavilan, this parade-competition is the zaniest in Belgium. The panel will be made up of fashion industry professionals. It’s a fashion event not to be missed for any reason.

MAD Fashion sales

“Backside, fashion from behind”
The Museum of Costume and Lace welcomes the new “Backside, fashion from behind” exhibition, dedicated to the back’s role in fashion and design. Around seventy garments and accessories will be displayed there, including everything from Parisian high fashion to contemporary ready-to-wear as well as uniforms and straitjackets.
