Future Travel Experience Global 2015 – the 10th anniversary edition of the independent event that champions innovation to enhance the end-to-end passenger experience – will take place at the Mandalay Bay Resort Las Vegas from 9th-11th September 2015. Hosted once again by McCarran International Airport, this year’s show will focus on the theme: “Transforming the passenger experience through customer-focused innovation and collaboration”.
FTE Global 2015 will provide an unrivalled platform for the world’s most forward-thinking airlines, airports, aircraft manufacturers, government agencies, suppliers and technology experts to come together to reveal their latest passenger-focused plans and visions, and collectively define how to improve the travel experience at the airport and in-flight.
Google’s Head of Travel, Megan Danielson, and Max Coppin, Partner Development Manager, will deliver a keynote address entitled: “How technology will change the travel experience, and how industry stakeholders should adapt”.
Delegates will also hear from Virgin Galactic’s Senior Vice President of Spaceport and Program Development, Jonathan Firth, who will deliver a presentation entitled: “How will Virgin Galactic deliver the ultimate travel experience through Spaceport America and beyond the atmosphere?”
Completing the keynote line-up will be Facebook Head of Travel Lee McCabe and Stephen Gold, Chief Marketing Officer, Vice President Business Development & Partner Program, IBM Watson & Watson Health.
Running parallel, the two conference streams will host industry-leading speakers from the world’s most pioneering airlines and airports. The ‘On the Ground’ conference will explore how new and emerging technologies – such as wearable technology, beacons, biometrics, robotics, the Internet of Things and permanent electronic bag tags – are reshaping the passenger experience.
Meanwhile, the ‘Up in the Air’ stream will include the launch of the FTE Onboard 2025 Think Tank vision in which Airbus, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Avianca, Panasonic Avionics and Honour Branding will present their vision of the in-flight experience of 2025.
Among the other highlights is the Cabin Connectivity Unleashed session, which will explore how the Internet of Everything will change airlines and aviation forever, and will feature speakers from the leading onboard connectivity providers, including Gogo, Thales, ViaSat, Global Eagle Entertainment, Panasonic, Inmarsat and Rockwell Collins.
The Future Travel Experience Awards 2015 presentation ceremony will take place as part of the Gala Beach Party at the Daylight Beach Club at the Mandalay Bay Resort. Recognising the most innovative, ambitious and effective initiatives and organisations over the last 12 months, nine awards will be presented: Best Check-in Initiative, Best Baggage Initiative, Best Airport Security Initiative, Best Passenger Assistance Initiative, Best Initiative at the Gate, Best ‘Up in the Air’ Experience, Best ‘Up in the Air’ Initiative, Best Immigration & Arrivals Initiative, and Best Mobile Technology Initiative.
