As we enter March, the Northern Hemisphere countries started to celebrate the arrival of Spring. We celebrate spring with festivals because it is a time of renewal and growth. The days are longer and brighter, the weather is warmer, and nature is coming alive with flowers and new life.
Spain’s Valencia kicked off its most famous festival Las Fallas to mark the beginning of Spring on March 1. Residents and tourists will join the crowds to enjoy the festival with lots of noise and fun. You can find more details of this year’s Las Fallas Festival here
Just like in Spain, in India and Nepal, people will celebrate Spring. Holi also known as the Festival of Colours, Festival of Spring, and Festival of Love, is kicked off in India. It is of the most popular and significant festivals in Hinduism. Holi is celebrated every year in India and Nepal. On this day, people come together to celebrate the victory of good over evil.
People of all ages and backgrounds gather around and throw vibrant colored powders and water at each other, symbolizing the joy of the season and the arrival of spring.
The festival is also an opportunity for people to come together, forget about the past and forgive any grudges. People also enjoy singing and dancing, as well as feasting on traditional delicacies.
