Celebrating and supporting the local hospitality industry, Kansas City Restaurant Week presented by Sysco is now less than one month away, returning to the metro Jan. 14-23.
Now in its 13th year, the annual dining event showcases the region’s diverse dining scene through 10 days of special multi-course menus, all affordably priced at $15, $35 and $45. As of Dec. 15, more than 175 restaurants are signed up to participate in the popular annual tradition.
In addition to casting a spotlight on KC’s culinary scene, 10 percent of proceeds for every Restaurant Week meal sold will benefit three local charities. In 2022, these causes include featured beneficiary the Guadalupe Centers, the Visit KC Foundation and the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association (GKCRA) Education Foundation.
Over the course of its first 12 years, more than $3 million has been raised by restaurants and diners for important local causes, including significant contributions to groups such as The Don Bosco Centers, Harvesters, BoysGrow, the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kansas City.
Visit KC partnered with the GKCRA to create Kansas City Restaurant Week in 2010, and it has since become one of the largest events of its kind in the country. In 2021, KC Restaurant Week forged ahead during the pandemic and expanded to also include carryout and delivery offerings—components that are here to stay.
