For the first time ever, LEGOLAND Resorts across the globe will host the LEGO Festival 2025, a brand-new event designed to bring the magic of play, creativity, and imagination to life.
Spanning six weekends from May 3 to June 11, this ultimate celebration of play will take place at seven LEGOLAND locations worldwide, leading up to World Play Day on June 11.
The LEGO Festival 2025 aims to be a child’s first festival experience, offering immersive activities, interactive zones, and larger-than-life LEGO builds that encourage families to rediscover the importance of play.
A Global Celebration of Play Across Seven LEGOLAND Resorts
Taking place in LEGOLAND Billund, California, Deutschland, Florida, Korea, New York, and Windsor, the festival is a collaboration between the LEGO Group and Merlin Entertainments, designed to give children and families a chance to connect through the power of play.
Fiona Eastwood, CEO of Merlin Entertainments, highlighted the festival’s significance:
“LEGOLAND Resorts have always been a ‘child’s first’ theme park experience. Now, we’re delivering their first festival experience! With LEGO Festival 2025, we aim to create a space where imagination runs wild, self-expression thrives, and families make unforgettable memories together.”
The event is built on the belief that play is essential for a child’s happiness and development, aligning with World Play Day, a celebration of the UN-recognized International Day of Play, which was officially adopted in March 2024.
Five Play Zones Designed for Maximum Fun
Each LEGOLAND Park will feature five uniquely themed zones, offering interactive activities tailored to different forms of play:
1. Music Zone – Encouraging kids to experiment with sounds, beats, and melodies.
2. Creativity Zone – A space to build, design, and create with LEGO bricks.
3. Dance Zone – A high-energy area for movement, dancing, and fun challenges.
4. Gaming Zone – Merging physical and digital play through interactive experiences.
5. Chill-Out Zone – A relaxed space for families to unwind and bond.
From giant LEGO builds to interactive performances, each activity is designed to bring families closer together through shared play experiences.
One of the most heartwarming aspects of the LEGO Festival 2025 is The Play Pact, a global initiative where families pledge to prioritize playtime.
For every Play Pact made, the LEGO Group and Merlin Entertainments will arrange playtime experiences for underserved children and their families at LEGOLAND Resorts worldwide.
David Buxbaum, Senior Vice President, LEGO Brand Parks & Experiences, emphasized the significance of this initiative:
“We believe that play is fundamental to every child’s happiness and development. With LEGO Festival, we are inviting families worldwide to rediscover the magic of play while helping others experience it too. This is an exciting moment for both LEGOLAND and the LEGO Group.”
LEGOLAND Welcomes Families for a One-of-a-Kind Experience
At each LEGOLAND Resort, families will be greeted with a special welcome area and a photo opportunity featuring an exclusive “I Heart Play” LEGO model, customized for each location.
Children will receive festival lanyards as they begin their immersive journey through the five interactive zones, building memories that will last a lifetime.
In addition to the festival, LEGOLAND Resorts will feature 49 brand-new, large-scale LEGO builds, providing endless inspiration for young creators.
A Festival That Could Become a LEGOLAND Tradition
With seven resorts, five countries, and one global rallying cry for play, LEGO Festival 2025 is expected to become a cherished LEGOLAND tradition for years to come.
Families can expect live performances, themed attractions, and exclusive LEGO Festival merchandise, making this an unmissable event for LEGO fans of all ages.
As the countdown to World Play Day 2025 begins, LEGOLAND invites families to embrace the joy of play, build lasting memories, and take part in a festival unlike any other.
