The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) in partnership with The Travel Corporation (TTC) will address food waste in tourism.
As an official sponsor of the BUFFET (Building an Understanding for Food Excess in Tourism) Initiative, TTC has made a commitment to help raise awareness of food waste in the travel and tourism industry and, along with PATA, challenges other industry stakeholders, particularly the hospitality sector, to reduce food waste to landfill.

It is a pleasure to be working with a highly successful international travel group and socially responsible organisation to bring greater awareness to an issue that if unchecked, will only get worse with the significant growth expected in the tourism industry, especially in the Asia Pacific region,” said PATA CEO Dr. Mario Hardy.

TTC is a key sponsor for PATA’s “BUFFET for Youth” Challenge that will take place at the PATA Annual Summit 2019 in Cebu, the Philippines from May 9-12, 2019.
