Prague is set to become the global hub for road transport innovations and insights as it prepares to host the 27th World Road Congress.
With a rich history of hosting international events, the city is once again in the spotlight, drawing experts from across the globe.
Prague’s Prestigious Win
Competing against cities like Kuala Lumpur and Sydney, Prague secured its position with a remarkable 122 points. This achievement marks the second time in over fifty years that the Czech capital will host this significant event. Martin Kupka, the Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic, expressed his enthusiasm and pride in this accomplishment.
After Abu Dhabi, Seoul, Mexico City or Paris, Prague will host the 27th World Road Congress this year.
A Global Gathering
The World Road Congress, scheduled from 2 to 6 October at the Prague Congress Centre, is expected to attract over 4,000 road transport professionals representing 96 countries. The event will showcase 30 national pavilions, a significant leap from the 2019 edition in the United Arab Emirates.

Roman Muška, Director of the Prague Convention Bureau, emphasized the city’s unique appeal. Historical data suggests that events in Prague typically see up to 15% more delegates compared to other global destinations. The congress promises local professionals unparalleled opportunities to gain insights and share knowledge with global experts.

This year’s summit will delve deep into pressing topics such as mobility, infrastructure, electromobility, and the industry’s move towards carbon neutrality. Moreover, the congress aims to engage the general public, especially the youth.
