Seychelles led by Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsibility for Tourism and Culture, took part at this year’s Top Resa Tourism Fair in Paris, France. In a series of extensive press interviews the Seychelles Minister gave an expose of tourism in the Seychelles. Together with his Vanilla islands Colleagues the Seychelles Minister also met press on regional cooperation and had chance to sign agreement with companies for more tourist visitation.
The Seychelles Tourism and Culture Minister said that through Press Interviews he is able to increase the visibility Seychelles gets in the island’s tourism target markets to ensure Seychelles remains always relevant as a holiday destination.
Mr. St.Ange said that the state of affairs with tourism arrival figures now on a year to date basis touching an increase of 20%.
During the fair, Mr. St.Ange and his minister colleagues from Vanilla Islands of the Indian Ocean came together. They have signed an agreement with Costa Cruises. Costa Cruises will be doubling the number of passengers cruising the Indian Ocean and also increase their cruise ship season. At the Paris Meeting it was also agree that for the arrival of the first Costa Cruise ship of this coming season, Ministers of the region would all join together in Mauritius to welcome the ship and they together board the ship together for a two days cruise to the Seychelles, where they will together work out a detailed plan of action for cooperation.
