The 2021 Eurovision Song Contest Organizes This Week

The Eurovision Song Contest is an international song competition organized annually by the European Broadcasting Union which features participants representing primarily European countries.

Organized annually by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) it brings together participating member broadcasters of the EBU who send a new song to represent their nation.

The event takes place annually in the country that won the previous year’s edition.

Forty-one broadcasters took part in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, which was won by the Netherlands with the song Arcade by Duncan Laurence.

This competition reached over 180 million TV viewers in over 40 markets and millions online.

The 2021 Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Rotterdam on 18, 20 and 22 May, in an adapted form.

The virtual doors of the Online Eurovision Village are open to visitors from around the world from 15 to 23 May.

This is a virtual version of the Eurovision Village that was originally planned near the Markthal in Rotterdam, and features live concerts by international and Dutch artists.

There are also a range of other initiatives designed to highlight Rotterdam and the city’s staging of the song contest.
