The Government of the Czech Republic is preparing for the EU Presidency in 2022. On Tuesday, March 19, 2019, the Prague Congress Centre hosted an event called “Presidency trial run.”
This event aimed to share the experience of the Presidency of Slovakia and Romania with project management presenting modern audio-visual and communication technologies used in it.
Representatives from the Government and the ministries had the opportunity to see the modernized premises of the Prague Congress Centre and hotel Holiday Inn Prague Congress Centre, where the EU negotiations could take place in 2022. “As it has been shown in the past, the PCC provides an ideal solution for all types of events taking place during the presidency, thanks to the number of halls and lounges, their variability, parking capacities and the proximity of the hotel premises,” confirmed the Sales and Marketing Director, Lenka Žlebková and invited participants for a guided tour.
Given the forthcoming Czech Presidency in the EU, the PCC followed up on the experience of the 2009 Presidency and in the light of current modern technologies enabled participants from public administration to experience the Presidency trial run. With her experience in project management and technical support for the Presidency of Slovakia, Dr. Katarína Chovancová handed over valuable advice and pointed out the complexity of organizing some events with regards to frequency and time.
Throughout the event, YVENTECH, the exclusive Congress Rental Network partner in the Czech Republic, also unveiled the latest congress and interpreting technologies that are recommended and approved by the European Commission for Public and State Meetings, especially for the EU Council host countries. “Given the number of technologies YVENTECH owns, we demonstrated the preparedness for the Czech Presidency of the EU Council as a host country in 2022,” says Monika Fenyková, CEO of YVENTECH.
Zátiší Catering refreshments were served throughout the day, presenting trends in gastronomy with stress on zero waste. Catering included table mapping and neon food. New was also the recently opened Urban Farm, which is an urban herb garden located on the PCC terrace. In addition to beautiful views of the Prague Castle, this garden also features fresh herbs, edible flowers, salads and seating. Zátiší Catering will use these ingredients for domestic beverages in the coming season or as a decoration for its events.
Afternoon program involved over 200 commercial partners, who accepted the invitation to take part at the “Feel The Change” event. Thanks to latest audio-visual technologies, LED marketing, light show and innovative ideas visitors were able to experience 24 hours within 24 minutes, attending a conference, gala evening, hockey game and networking.
