Renfe’s Avlo trains offer a budget-friendly travel option for those looking to discover Asturias.
The launch of these new services includes S106 trains with increased capacity, featuring 581 seats arranged in 12 carriages.
This addition will provide over 10,500 new seats per week, catering to the growing demand for affordable travel between Asturias, Castilla y León, and Madrid.
Starting today, Renfe’s Avlo trains will operate the Madrid-Asturias route, departing Madrid at 11:45 a.m. and arriving in Gijón at 3:33 p.m.
The return journey from Asturias to Madrid will depart at 7:25 p.m., arriving in Madrid at 11:18 p.m., with daily services in both directions.
Additionally, a new Alvia service between Avilés and Madrid will run from Sunday to Friday, departing Madrid at 09:15 a.m. and reaching Avilés at 1:04 p.m., with the return trip leaving Avilés at 5:14 p.m. and arriving in Madrid at 9:09 p.m.
Renfe is also adjusting the departure times for its Madrid-Gijón AVE service, now offering an early morning departure at 06:58 a.m., with an arrival in Gijón at 10:39 a.m. An afternoon service will leave Madrid at 4:37 p.m., arriving in Gijón at 8:11 p.m.
These new services, especially the budget-friendly Avlo trains, are set to make traveling to Asturias more accessible and enjoyable.
