Bernardo Silva Holidays in Marmaris Amid Galatasaray Talk

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva is holidaying in the Turkish resort town of Marmaris, where he has met the chairman of a local Galatasaray supporters’ group during his summer break.

The 31-year-old Portugal international is staying at a hotel in the Hisaronu neighbourhood of Marmaris, in Turkey’s Mugla province, according to local news reports.

During the trip, Silva met Ilyas Aktas, chairman of the Marmaris Galatasaray Business People Association. Local sources said the meeting took place while the player continued his break in the district.

The report did not indicate any formal link between Silva and Galatasaray, but the encounter has added to ongoing speculation about his future. Turkish clubs have been mentioned alongside the player in transfer talk, and his name has often featured in European transfer rumours.

Silva joined Manchester City in 2017 and has since become a key figure for the Premier League club. He remains one of the team’s most recognisable players, drawing attention both on and off the pitch.

His presence drew interest from fans during the stay and put Marmaris back in the spotlight as a destination for high-profile sports figures. The report did not say how long he plans to stay or whether football discussions formed part of the meeting.

Marmaris is one of Turkey’s best-known holiday spots, attracting domestic and international visitors through the summer months. The coastal town is popular with travellers seeking beaches, marinas and nightlife.

Silva’s holiday follows a growing pattern of football stars choosing Turkish coastal destinations for downtime between seasons. Appearances by well-known figures often draw extra attention to the resort and add a celebrity angle to its tourism profile at the start of the season.
