Flight Frequencies between Turkiye and Russia Increase for 2023 Summer

Russia and Turkiye agreed on to increase the number of flights between the two countries by 50 percent for the 2023 Summer tourism season.

Last summer, the number of flights between the two countries had increased to a total of 750-850 per week. It is reported that this summer, Russian airline companies will organize 750 flights, while Turkish companies will organize 400 flights.

The cities where Aeroflot will operate direct flights are listed as Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman and Izmir. The company will also fly to Izmir for the first time as of 27 May.

In addition to Aeroflot, Rossiya, Pobeda, S7, Utair, Azimut and Red Wings companies will also organize flights from different cities to holiday resorts in Turkiye.

Industry experts are of the opinion that with the increase in the number of flights, air ticket prices will decrease. According to the data announced by OneTwoTrip, the price of round-trip airfare between Russia and Turkey in the spring and summer seasons will be 47.4 percent lower than last year.

The average ticket price is 21 thousand rubles ($272).
