SunExpress is expanding its codeshare partnership with Lufthansa in the 20/21 winter season.
After two successful years of codeshare on flights from Munich to Izmir, Antalya and Ankara, the agreement will now be extended to several weekly flights from Frankfurt to Turkey’s three main cities.
The connections, which will be operated by SunExpress, will also fly under Lufthansa flight numbers and are available for sale on lufthansa.com and all other sales channels of the airline.
“We are pleased that we will extend our successful codeshare partnership with Lufthansa to Frankfurt in the winter, covering the two largest German airports,” said Max Kownatzki, chief executive officer of SunExpress.
“In addition to numerous attractive connecting flights, passengers will also benefit from extremely convenient and short transfer and connecting routes in Terminal 1 of Frankfurt Airport.”
SunExpress’s first codeshare flight from Frankfurt will begin with the start of the 2020/21 winter timetable on October 25 this year, while the existing codeshare connections from Munich to Ankara, Antalya and Izmir will remain in place. Both airlines also plan to further expand the partnership for most SunExpress flights from Frankfurt and Munich in the 2021 summer timetable.
