Turkey’s largest superyacht, the 88-metre Angelique, has been delivered to its owner in Istanbul. Built by Turquoise Yachts, the vessel has also been put on the charter market at about 64 million TL a week for the summer season.
The yacht, previously known as Project Vento, has a gross tonnage of 2,646 and is powered by two MTU 12V4000 M65L engines. It can reach a top speed of 17 knots, and its design includes a swimming pool, jacuzzi, cinema, spa and helicopter pad.
Turquoise Yachts said the project marked a major milestone for the yard, which worked with long-term partner H2 Yacht Design on both the interior and exterior. The company said the yacht was the second and largest of five custom yachts derived from its 80-metre platform.
In a press statement, the yard’s chief executive Burak Akgul said: “It is still difficult to fully grasp the magnitude of this achievement by our team and our valued partners. Angelique, the second and largest of five bespoke yachts derived from our 80-meter platform, certainly sets a new standard for our capabilities.”
Angelique’s exterior features a steel hull inspired by Tour de France blue and an aluminium superstructure. On the main deck, a 21-foot infinity pool sits aft, while the owner’s deck can be closed off at the rear and turned into a winter garden.
The sun deck includes an open-air cinema and a teppanyaki grill, while the bridge deck offers a sunbathing area. A social club forms the centre of life on board, with side terraces lined with loungers serving food and drinks.
The yacht also has a massage room, a jet ski and kayak dock, and a helipad that can be converted into a basketball court when needed. Inside, the design takes inspiration from Go, another yacht by Turquoise and H2 Yacht Design.
The main saloon features a bar and atrium with a sculpture by artist Dale Chihuly, along with blue tones and stainless steel finishes. The vessel also has a games table, another cinema, and a spa with a sauna and Turkish bath.
The owner’s private suite includes dressing rooms and a terrace with a jacuzzi. There are also two VIP cabins and four guest cabins on the main deck, giving the yacht space for large-scale private cruising.
Turquoise Yachts has not disclosed the identity of the owner. The yacht is now being offered through Edmiston as one of the latest high-end charter options in the global superyacht market.
