Travelers passing through John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 4 are about to experience a major culinary upgrade.
Avolta AG, a global leader in travel retail and food & beverage, has secured a 15-year contract to introduce nine new dining venues spanning over 1,500 square meters of concession space. The expansion, awarded by JFK International Air Terminal (JFKIAT), marks Avolta’s debut in Terminal 4, one of JFK’s busiest terminals.
The latest addition to Avolta’s growing presence at JFK follows previous agreements for duty-free, travel convenience, and specialty retail at the airport’s new Terminal 6, as well as food & beverage, duty-paid, and convenience concepts at Terminal 8. With this new contract, Avolta continues to solidify its footprint in one of the busiest airports in North America.
A Culinary Experience Inspired by New York
Avolta’s HMSHost division is leading the transformation with an exciting mix of local flavors and globally recognized brands that showcase New York’s diverse culinary scene. Travelers can look forward to a wide range of cuisines from renowned local eateries, including:

Additionally, HMSHost is expanding its collaboration with the James Beard Foundation® (JBF) by introducing Good To Go by JBF™, a fast-casual dining concept that will launch in Terminal 4 with a menu created by New York’s Due Madri.
JFK: A Destination for Travelers and Food Lovers
As one of the world’s most dynamic airports, JFK has evolved beyond a transit hub to become a destination for food enthusiasts. The introduction of these nine new restaurants will enhance the passenger experience by offering a variety of dining choices, from grab-and-go meals to sit-down restaurants with locally inspired menus.
Steve Johnson, President and CEO, North America, Avolta, highlighted the importance of JFK’s evolving dining landscape:
“In a city renowned for its culinary scene, JFK has evolved into a dining destination in and by itself. We embraced the opportunity to partner with JFKIAT, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and our joint-venture partners to be a part of the evolution of JFK and make the journey as exciting as the destination for travelers passing through Terminal 4.”
Avolta’s Expanding Presence at JFK
With this latest contract, Avolta strengthens its footprint at JFK Airport, where HMSHost already operates dining venues in Terminals 1, 5, and 8. The company’s expansion aligns with JFK’s broader modernization efforts, ensuring travelers have access to premium dining options as part of their airport experience.
As work progresses, passengers can expect a new wave of high-quality dining options that reflect the best of New York’s food culture. Whether grabbing a quick bite before a flight or sitting down for a meal, travelers passing through JFK Terminal 4 will soon have more choices than ever before.
