Minsk hosting 2019 European Muaythai Championships

The 2019 European Muaythai Championships kicked off at the Minsk Palace of Sports on 5 November in Belarus.

Belarus will field 90 athletes (senior and junior). Among them are winners and medalists of international competitions, European and world championships Dmitry Varets (67kg), Andrei Kulebin (71kg), Vitaly Gurkov (75kg), Dmitry Valent (86kg), and Darya Belkova (60kg).

Preliminary bouts started at 14h00 Minsk time. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 18h00. The competitions will feature more than 520 athletes from 26 countries.

The 2019 European Championships is held from 3-11 November 2019 in Minsk where Muaythai is coming back after two yeas as Belarus hosted a great World Championships.

This year’s European Championships will include the traditional Elite division and youth 12-13, 14-15, 16-17 years divisions.

The 2019 European Championships are listed as an official qualification event for the esteemed World Games 2021 and medalists will receive points towards qualification rankings.
