Since we live in a digital age it’s practically impossible to avoid being online. People have been using the Internet in offices and to communicate globally for some time now. However, two of the biggest drives of the human brain are rewards and relaxation which is why they seek them online.
With that in mind, the gaming industry has adapted to the needs of its clients. They made all kinds of games available online so you can relax while playing solo or have a gaming session with your friends.
This approach was copied by the casino industry as well. Many casinos have revamped classic tabletop and slot games so you could play poker, bingo, baccarat, and blackjack online. They did this to suit the needs of the reward-seeking individuals. Besides having a go at your favorite slot game, the best way to relax and earn rewards is to travel.
How is travel rewarding? Travel broadens the mind, as it has been stated many times. You can relax at a beach, go for a swim or visit landmarks, enjoy the nightlife, and mingle with the people to learn their culture. It’s an irreplaceable experience and because you can’t remember everything you’ll take photos and videos that you’ll want to post on your Instagram account. Although most hotels offer complimentary Wi-Fi, some cities have areas where there’s free Wi-Fi. Here are 5 such cities:
Tallinn, Estonia
Tallinn is the home of Skype, so it makes sense for it to be an innovative city. The free Wi-Fi program was started in 2005 and you can find access to it practically anywhere, from public areas and forests to beaches and gas stations. The Estonian government was the first that enabled its citizens to vote via the Internet and are in the process of making voting available via mobile phones too.
Pforzheim, Germany
The city of Pforzheim has made free Wi-Fi available in the whole city and some hotspots in the outskirts since 2013. Nine mid-sized companies are tasked with supplying the coverage. After you sign up you receive a message that you’ll have 500 MB free high-speed Wi-Fi for free per month, but after some time the connection slows down. One place that you should visit for free Wi-Fi is the campus of the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences.
Vienna, Austria
The great thing about Vienna is that it’s surrounded by Wi-Fi hotspots. If you’re visiting this lovely town be sure to go to Karlsplatz Kunsthalle or any of the major universities where you can enjoy some coffee in the cafes or mix in with the student crowd. Technically there’s a one hour per day restriction, but it can be bypassed by disconnecting and reconnecting to the Wi-Fi.
Paris, France
The city of love and free Wi-Fi has over 260 public places where you can get free connection. The Paris Wi-Fi was started as early as 2007. Some scenic locations that offer free Wi-Fi include Le Conti at St. Germaine Montparnasse, the Latin Quarter’s Café de L’Institut, Rosa Bonheur at the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont and many others.
Helsinki, Finland
Helsinki has been offering inhabitants and travelers free Wi-Fi since 2006. It is available to passengers at the Helsinki Airport and all urban areas, and no password or registration is required.
