CANARD Drones Completes 50 Inspection and Calibration Operations at Greek Airports Using Drone Technology

CANARD Drones, a leading drone technology company, has successfully completed 50 inspection and calibration operations of visual aids at 12 airports in Greece.

This achievement was made possible through CANARD Drones’ innovative solution, which combines drones, a dedicated app, and cloud computing.

The company completed a total of 26 Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI), 11 Approach Lighting Systems (ALS), and 13 Runway Lights calibration operations at regional airports across Greece, including Thessaloniki, Kavala, Corfu, Zakynthos, Kefallonia, Mykonos, Santorini, Kos, Rhodes, Samos, Mytilini, and Skiathos. These airports are managed by Fraport Greece, who awarded the contract to CANARD Drones.

Mr. Juan Diaz, the Chief Technology Officer of CANARD Drones, highlighted the significance of these operations for the company. He stated, “These operations in Greece have been a milestone for our company, as we have been able to deploy our solution characterized by its agility, efficiency, and availability in record time. In a matter of days, we have executed 50 operations at 12 different airports, which would have had a substantial impact on airport operations and costs if done using traditional methods.”

CANARD Drones has developed a comprehensive solution not only for the inspection of visual aids but also for radio and infrastructure aids at civil airports and military airfields. Through their integrated online platform, which combines a drone and a self-developed app, users have 24/7 availability for a range of recurring inspections, including PAPI, ALS, Runway Lights, ILS, VOR, ETOD/Obstacles, and PCI.

By using CANARD Drones’ off-the-shelf product, users gain complete autonomy and can make decisions based on instant data and results obtained through the system. This level of accessibility and convenience sets CANARD Drones apart from traditional inspection methods.

CANARD Drones carried out these operations in collaboration with Hellenic Drones. To ensure the success of the project, CANARD Drones provided training to Hellenic Drones’ staff, fostering a collaborative planning and execution process.

The completion of these inspection and calibration operations at Greek airports showcases the efficiency and effectiveness of CANARD Drones’ cutting-edge technology. As the company continues to expand its presence in the industry, it is poised to revolutionize the way airport inspections are conducted, ensuring heightened safety, accuracy, and cost-efficiency.
