A new independent study finds out the fastest Wi-Fi and cellular speeds in the U.S. airports. The study tests the Wi-Fi service in the nation’s seven busiest airports and determined that Denver International had the fastest Wi-Fi, while Atlanta and San Francisco had the slowest.
Wefi, a company specializing in mobile data analytics, conducted the report which logs an average of 4.73 Mbps for Denver International Airport – DIA. while ATL and SFO logged relatively measly rates of 3.05 and 3.26 respectively. The data was collected from March through May of this year.
While DIA had the fastest Wi-Fi speeds, it was in the middle when it comes to cell coverage. Of course, cell service relies heavily on the mobile companies. At the Denver airport, T-Mobile came out on top, followed by Verizon, AT&T and Sprint.
