2022’s Most Fun States in America

With summer just around the corner and 86% of Americans planning to take a vacation, the study finds out the 2022’s most fun states in America.

The personal-finance website WalletHub revealed the most fun states travelers may want to visit in 2022.

There are certain states where fun is not just an option but also a way of life. These states offer such a variety of activities that everyone will be able to find something that excites them. While Americans were limited in their recreation opportunities during the COVID-19 pandemic, the distribution of the vaccine has helped the leisure and hospitality sectors reopen, and there are plenty of options now.

With pure enjoyment in mind, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 26 key indicators of a jolly good time that won’t break the bank. They range from movie costs to accessibility of national parks to casinos per capita.

California tops the list. The state has the most movie theaters (per square root of population), 0.082421, which is 6.8 times more than in Delaware, the state with the fewest at 0.012199.

California has also the most restaurants (per square root of population), 4.947836, which is 7.9 times more than in Alaska, the state with the fewest at 0.630183.

Florida comes at second and Nevada at third.
