ANTOR (Association of National Tourist Offices and Representatives) announced that due to the COVID-19 lockdown, its annual London travel trade workshop is going Virtual and Live.
Travel agents and tour operators across the UK can all participate from the comfort and safety of their own home with the refreshments of their choice.
It is difficult to replicate the usual table top format at the very grand Institute of Directors, instead they are using the modern Travel Expo 365 platform to provide an auditorium, workshop stands with one-to-one meeting and networking spaces. This event is all about getting underneath the skin of a destination brand, sharing knowledge, experience and content in a fun way.
The following destinations will be there waiting to meet delegates:
ANTIGUA AUSTRIA, BAHAMAS, BELGIUM – FLANDERS, CZECH REPUBLIC, DENMARK, EGYPT, FINLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, GIBRALTAR, GRENADA, GUERNSEY, ISRAEL, ITALY, JERSEY, MALTA, NASSSAU, NETHERLANDS, QATAR, SAMOA, SWEDEN, SWITZERLAND, TAIWAN, TOBAGO, TUNISIA.
“While the industry rallies to find workable solutions through this crisis, I am delighted that ANTOR members have found a platform to communicate with its industry partners and give them product updates in real time. It’s also extremely valuable to hear the concerns and questions raised by the trade to assist with our own destination recovery programmes.” commented Tracey Poggio, Antor Chairman.
HOW IT WILL WORK:
The event will kick-off at 1 pm with a very short welcome from ANTOR’s Chairman, Tracey Poggio of the Gibraltar Tourist Board and Executive Secretary, Alison Cryer in the main auditorium, followed by a series of inspirational short destination videos. The auditorium can be entered at any time. The videos will also be available after the end of the event for 24 hours if you cannot make it during the event itself. These videos can be watched with family and children while you wait for your next live meeting.
The Virtual Live workshop is open to all travel agents, homeworkers and tour operator sales, reservations and product teams. In the same way as the “Real” event delegates can come and go as they please and have live meetings with as many of the destinations participating as desired. In addition prior to and during the virtual event they can set-up appointments and invite colleagues to join them to manage their time more productively.
The workshop stands will be manned live by our destination members, they will have training modules available, video and image content to download, social media to follow and unique experiences and recipes to share.
There will be a fun quiz during the workshop for delegates to participate in alone or as a group with prizes to be won, announced before the end of the workshop at 5pm.
