Enterprise Holdings, the company behind the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands, has announced that its Enterprise Car Club service is now available in Ireland.
The arrival of Enterprise Car Club reflects a commitment by the world’s leading car rental company to bring flexible, short-term, and sustainable car rental options to residents, commuters and visitors across Ireland.
More than 30 cars and vans have been sited, in eight towns and cities. These include 16 on-street sites in Dublin, from Merrion Square north to the Docklands, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car branches in Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford, Tralee, Drogheda and Naas. The vehicles are available to rent on an hourly basis and so provide a convenient travel option for when a car is the best choice for a journey.
Enterprise Car Club provides an alternative to car ownership for some people, as well as enabling drivers to easily access a range of modern, fuel efficient vehicles. Businesses can also benefit by enabling staff to use a car club vehicle in place of their own car or company fleet vehicles.
Motorists register online to join the Car Club and once approved, usually within 24 hours, they can reserve vehicles through the online booking system, using their phone or a contactless card to access the vehicle.
To celebrate its launch in Ireland, Enterprise will provide half-priced annual membership of €20 to anyone who joins in the next six months. They will also receive €20 of free driving credits to their account.

“This service will enable people across the country to access low emission and value quickly and easily for money vehicles. It will also play an important part in helping reduce congestion and improve air quality by enabling people to make more sustainable travel choices.
“At Enterprise we are committed to meeting customers’ changing mobility needs, building on our long and proud history of providing rental vehicles in communities across Ireland, helping people travel in an affordable, convenient and efficient manner.”
The Enterprise Car Club fleet comprises a combination of hybrid and fuel-efficient petrol vehicles including the Ford Puma, Opel Corsa, Renault Clio, Toyota Corolla and Ford Transit models. In time, fully electric vehicles will be added to the fleet.

“Car sharing has a key role in facilitating sustainable mobility by reducing the need for individual car ownership. The City Council is delighted to welcome Enterprise – Dublin’s newest car share operator – offering Dubliners and its visitors temporary access to locally available cars and vans.”
The arrival of the cars in the eight towns and cities is the start of an ambitious expansion plan for Enterprise Car Club, which will increase the number of vehicles and locations in Ireland throughout the coming year.
