Florida’s New Tallest Roller Coaster Tigris

Florida’s New Tallest Triple-Launch Steel Coaster Heading for Tampa

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has announced Tigris, a new triple-launch steel coaster – and Florida’s tallest – due to be delivered in the next few weeks.

Tigris will catapult riders through looping twists with forward and backward motion, breath-taking drops, a 150-foot skyward surge, and an inverted heartline roll, all at over 60mph. Tigris will race riders along more than 1,800 feet of steel track, mimicking the agility of the world’s largest and most powerful cat, the tiger.

To further solidify Busch Gardens reign as Florida’s thrill ride leader, more news is on the horizon – a second new thrill ride will be coming to the Gwazi area of the park in 2020.

Meanwhile American Humane, the world’s largest certifier of animal welfare and well-being, announced that Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has earned the Humane Certified seal through the American Humane Conservation programme, demonstrating the good welfare and treatment given to the creatures in its care. The park passed rigorous, expert third-party audits to join just 20 institutions in the US in earning the certification.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay offers 300 acres of attractions based on exotic explorations around the world.
