Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management announced new rules for all residents, Emiratis, tourists, and transit passengers traveling into and out of Dubai.
In a post on the Dubai Media Office Twitter, it stated that the new amendments were introduced ‘with an aim to ease procedures for passengers and exempt citizens from additional requirements without compromising on precautionary measures.’

New Dubai COVID-19 Travel Guidelines
Arrivals for:
Citizens
With the rules, which were announced on Friday, Oct 2, UAE citizens traveling to Dubai will no longer need to undergo PCR tests in the country they are traveling from, regardless of the period of their stay.
They will only be required to get the test done upon their arrival in Dubai.
Residents and Tourists
A PCR test prior to departure for Dubai is mandatory.
Transit Passengers
Transit passengers from some countries or those headed for destinations where the test is mandatory should also get screened for the virus before flying to Dubai for a stopover.
Departures for:
Citizens
UAE citizens, traveling overseas from Dubai are only required to undergo a PCR test prior to departure if their destination country requires a pre-travel negative test certificate.
Residents and Tourists
