Paris’ Eiffel Tower Debuts a Free Suspension Bridge Experience

For a limited time, visitors to the Eiffel Tower can experience an unforgettable adventure—walking across a 40-meter-long net bridge suspended 60 meters above the ground.

This daring attraction, The Vertigo of the Tower, is available only until March 9, 2025, giving guests a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step above the void and take in Paris from a whole new perspective.

Installed on the 1st floor of the tower, the bridge connects the south and north pillars, offering a breathtaking skywalk secured by ultra-resistant iron cables. Inspired by Himalayan-style suspension bridges, it allows visitors to walk above the open air while enjoying a completely safe, fully caged structure.

A Free, Thrilling Experience

Unlike most exclusive attractions, this suspension bridge is free for all visitors with a valid Eiffel Tower ticket. However, due to high demand, guests must register in advance using a QR code located at the 1st-floor terrace near the entrance of the attraction.

  • Opening Hours:
    • Weekdays: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
    • Weekends: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Registration: On-site only via QR code.
  • Group Size: Up to 8 people per booking.
  • Age Requirement: Open to anyone 3 years and older (children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult).

What to Expect on the Bridge

Walking across The Vertigo of the Tower is not just about views—it’s about testing your courage! The structure, built by Arboricorde, a company specializing in high-altitude installations, is designed for maximum safety while offering a thrilling experience.

  • The bridge is constructed entirely of high-strength nets and secured with two layers of 25,000 tightly knotted meshes.
  • The caged design ensures that there is zero risk of falling or dropping objects.
  • The structure is engineered to withstand over 30,000 kg/m², making it incredibly stable and secure.
  • Due to accessibility limitations, the attraction is not available to visitors with reduced mobility (wheelchair users, canes, or crutches).

  2. Locate the QR code station near the bridge entrance and scan to register for a time slot (15-minute intervals).
  3. Arrive exactly at your scheduled time—if you booked for 2:15 PM, you must arrive at 2:15 PM sharp for a smooth flow.
  4. If there is no wait, immediate entry may be possible without prior registration.
