FTI Touristik GmbH, the parent company of the FTI GROUP, has announced that it will file for insolvency at the Munich Local Court. This filing is set to take place on Monday, 3 June 2024. The initial impact will be on the tour operator brand FTI Touristik, with other Group companies expected to follow.
Windrose Finest Travel GmbH, which operates the luxury brand WINDROSE, will continue its business as usual. The independent companies Euvia GmbH, its travel shopping channel sonnenklar.TV, and the franchise system of Touristik Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH (TVG) with brands sonnenklar.TV Reisebüros, 5vorFlug Reisebüros, and Flugbörse are not part of the FTI GROUP.
In April 2024, an investor consortium’s entry was announced after a complex process. Despite this positive news, booking numbers have fallen significantly. Suppliers have demanded advance payments, leading to a liquidity shortfall that cannot be bridged until the investor process is finalized. Therefore, the filing for insolvency is legally necessary.
