Turkey Suspends All Int’l Flights

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced new restrictions on Friday night; including suspension of all international flights and restrictions on domestic travel due to the spread of coronavirus.

Erdoğan said that the death toll from the pandemic in the country climbed to 92.

Turkish President also announced that traveling between cities will now be possible with the permission of local governors.

Picnic areas will be closed on weekends, and there will not be any social gatherings on weekdays.

Earlier on Friday, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu announced that all bus travels within the country have been restricted. Soylu also announced that activities on recreation areas, historical ruins, forests, picnic areas, and beachfront areas are prohibited for fishing, walking, running and sports on Saturdays and Sundays. Soylu added, “From Monday, if the governors want, they can spread this ban,”.
