Minor Hotels has appointed Stuart De San Nicolas as the new Cluster General Manager for Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas, Avani+ Fares Resort, and NH Collection Maldives Havodda. This appointment, effective from 23rd December 2023, marks a new chapter for the renowned hotel group in one of the world’s most idyllic destinations.
Stuart De San Nicolas, a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the hospitality sector, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. His career journey has been marked by significant achievements and leadership roles across various continents, including Europe, South America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. This diverse exposure makes him uniquely qualified to oversee the operations of these prestigious resorts in the Maldives.
A native of Spain, Stuart’s hospitality career began in 1993 with the Hyatt Regency group in France. Over the years, he has honed his skills in various aspects of hotel management, particularly excelling in front office and food and beverage services. His journey through the hospitality industry has seen him take on the role of General Manager at several high-profile hotels, including Altapura in France, Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Hotel & Spa in Mauritius, and Marriott Islamabad.
Before joining Minor Hotels, Stuart was the General Manager at Conrad Bora Bora Nui, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing the resort’s luxury offerings. His leadership style, characterized by a commitment to excellence and a focus on delivering five-star guest experiences, has consistently led to surpassing guest expectations and operational success.
