This thought-provoking showcase, opened by Kevin Timms, Chair of the Board of Trustees at the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust, delves into the technologies shaping the future of cars and examines their effects on our lives. The exhibition takes a comprehensive look at the developments in the motor industry as it strives to create cleaner, safer, and more efficient vehicles.
Building upon the curiosity sparked by its previous exhibition, ‘The Car. The Future. Me’ in 2019, the British Motor Museum aims to provide a fresh perspective on the practical aspects surrounding these new automotive technologies. By exploring areas such as power sources, environmental impact, materials, and alternative control methods, visitors will gain valuable insights into the future of car engineering and its implications for everyday life.
A compelling combination of classic cars and interactive stations form the centerpiece of the exhibition, showcasing various aspects of future development. Among the notable vehicles on display are the iconic 1922 Ford Model T, the hydrogen-powered Riversimple Rasa, a sectioned Nissan Leaf electric car, and a 2016 Range Rover Sport autonomous test vehicle.
