Minor Hotels, an international hotel owner, operator and investor with more than 540 hotels in 56 countries, has unveiled plans for a new Anantara resort in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
Slated to open in 2027, the Anantara Zanzibar Resort promises to elevate luxury tourism on the island’s northern coast.
The upcoming resort will boast 181 keys, including 37 luxury suites, a presidential villa, and a mix of one- and two-bedroom sea view villas with private pools. Additionally, guests can look forward to 38 one-bedroom, 19 two-bedroom apartments, eight three-bedroom penthouse apartments, and five penthouses, all embodying contemporary elegance and cutting-edge comforts.
Anantara Zanzibar Resort aims to create a serene beachside sanctuary, integrating water features such as private pools and lagoon access to enrich the guest experience. The property’s design will reflect the unique style and materials of the region, offering an authentic yet luxurious stay.
Culinary enthusiasts will be treated to a world-class dining experience with six restaurants and bars, including a specialty beach grill, a beach club bar, and a gourmet delicatessen café. A themed tikki bar and an al fresco pool bar will further enhance the resort’s vibrant culinary landscape.
The resort will also feature a wide range of amenities, including the Anantara Spa, kids’ and teens’ clubs, extensive fitness facilities, a water sports club, a lagoon pool, and a library. For business travelers, meeting and event spaces, an executive lounge, and a business centre will be available.
