IHG’s Vignette Collection Reaches 10 Open Hotels in Greater China

IHG Hotels & Resorts recently announced that Vignette Collection has reached the milestone of 10 open hotels in Greater China, marking the continued growth of the group’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio across the region.

Part of IHG’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio, Vignette Collection brings together a curated collection of distinctive hotels, each defined by its own story and sense of place. Through a range of project types and guest experiences, the brand continues to enrich IHG’s presence in Greater China, while providing a flexible pathway for hotel conversion and the thoughtful upgrading of high-quality existing properties and unique projects, allowing them to enhance guest experiences while preserving their individual character.

Jerome Qiu, Chief Operating Officer, IHG Greater China, said: “Reaching 10 open Vignette Collection hotels in Greater China marks an important milestone in the steady development of our luxury and lifestyle portfolio. Through its distinctive yet flexible brand approach, Vignette Collection allows hotels with strong character and compelling stories to be thoughtfully reintroduced, bringing luxury back to its essence — experiences that are memorable, personal, and meaningful. We look forward to working closely with owners to introduce more signature projects across Greater China.”

Supporting urban renewal through distinctive luxury projects

Since its global launch in 2021 and entry into Greater China in 2023, Vignette Collection has steadily expanded across major cities and lifestyle destinations. By respecting original architecture and cultural context, and leveraging IHG’s established operating platform and global resources, the brand supports the upgrading and renewal of high-quality existing properties, enabling them to evolve while retaining their original identity.

For example, Palm Springs Hotel Chengdu, Vignette Collection, builds on the property’s established presence by integrating Vignette Collection’s brand hallmarks into its design and service journey, elevating the overall guest experience while preserving the hotel’s distinctive character. Such projects contribute to a more diverse luxury hospitality landscape, offering travelers layered and differentiated stay experiences within urban environments.

Deepening emotional connections through one-of-a-kind stays

At the heart of Vignette Collection is a commitment to One-of-a-Kind Stays, with each hotel offering its own interpretation shaped by its destination. The brand’s signature Memorable Rituals are thoughtfully designed to create moments that guests can carry with them long after their stay.

At TFT Chongqing, Vignette Collection, guests can personalise artistic key cards and enjoy a bespoke fragrance experience, transforming their encounter with the city into a tangible and lasting memory.

Guided by its A Means for Good ethos, Vignette Collection also integrates social and environmental responsibility into its long-term practices.

At THE ONE Shanghai Downtown, Vignette Collection, the hotel collaborates with local art and community partners to showcase works by young artists in public spaces, with proceeds supporting creative education initiatives. These efforts allow guests to naturally engage with the local community, adding depth and purpose to their stay.

As of today, Vignette Collection operates 10 open hotels in Greater China, with several additional projects in preparation. As the portfolio continues to expand, IHG Hotels & Resorts will continue to evolve its presence in the region, exploring new ways to connect urban renewal, destination storytelling and meaningful travel experiences.
