NH Collection Hotels & Resorts has opened NH Collection Palacio de Córdoba, a five star hotel set within a fully restored 18th century palace in the city’s historic Jewish Quarter.
The project marks a new chapter for the brand under Minor Hotels, combining contemporary design with preserved architectural heritage in one of Spain’s most culturally significant destinations.
Located on Plaza de Maimónides within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the property integrates restored sections of Córdoba’s ancient city wall into its design, with some guest rooms offering direct views of the historic remains. The hotel sits steps away from landmarks such as the Casa Andalusí and the Mosque Cathedral, placing visitors at the heart of the city’s heritage.
The site reflects centuries of history, having evolved from a Roman domus into a Renaissance palace and later a noble residence between the 17th and 18th centuries. This layered past is visible throughout the property, where preserved architectural elements coexist with a contemporary aesthetic.
Córdoba remains one of the world’s most distinctive cultural destinations, as the only city with four UNESCO recognitions. These include the Mosque Cathedral, the Historic Centre, the Festival of the Patios and the Caliphal City of Medina Azahara, underscoring its long history of cultural coexistence.
The hotel introduces a new culinary concept with the opening of Tablafina, a restaurant inspired by traditional Spanish taverns. Located within one of the palace’s noble houses, the space spans three Cordoban courtyards and offers seating for around 90 guests.

The menu combines classic Iberian products such as cold cuts, preserves and artisanal cheeses with local specialities. Dishes featured in the Esencia Cordobesa selection include salmorejo, boneless oxtail stew and flamenquín, alongside seasonal creations that reinterpret Andalusian cuisine.
The property is organised around three traditional courtyards, Patio de Petra, Patio Mudéjar and Patio del Compás, designed to bring natural light, greenery and a sense of calm into the interior spaces. Orange trees, flowers and water features create quiet areas that connect guests with the local architectural tradition.

The hotel offers 89 rooms, including 12 Junior Suites and five Suites, each reflecting Córdoba’s heritage through modern design elements. Suites feature separate living areas, two bathrooms and views of either the Mosque Cathedral’s tower, the ancient city wall or private courtyards paved with traditional pebble mosaics.
Public areas have also been redesigned to enhance the guest experience, with a focus on natural light and harmony with the building’s historic structure. Facilities include a breakfast room with made to order options, an outdoor pool set within a courtyard and a 24 hour gym.
The opening of NH Collection Palacio de Córdoba expands the brand’s presence in Andalusia while reinforcing Córdoba’s position as a destination where history, architecture and contemporary hospitality converge.
