Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced the debut of six new experiences in its much-anticipated Special Happens… series spanning its global portfolio.
Special Happens… In The Wild expands with three brand new global experiences, inviting travellers to connect with nature through unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime adventures.
New for 2026, guests can soar over one of the world’s most iconic landmarks with an exclusive new Great Wall of China Iconic Helicopter Tour from Fairmont Beijing. Enjoy tracing the Wall’s winding majesty from a private helicopter, followed by a limousine transfer back to the hotel for a two-night stay in a Fairmont Gold Studio King with lounge access. The experience continues with a private mixology masterclass and a curated “China Collectors” dining experience at CUT by Chef Peter Kang, featuring his celebrated clay-sealed chicken.
Also making its debut this summer, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge offers a new Foraging Flight: An Indigenous‑Led Helicopter & Culinary Journey, where guests take to the skies on a helicopter guided by local Indigenous Knowledge Keeper Lauren Moberly, immersing them in the untamed beauty of the Canadian Rockies, tracing a journey from rugged peaks to forest floor for a luxury picnic and seasonal wild botanicals foraging. The experience culminates with a private, chef-prepared multi-course dinner at the resort.
The all-new Acacia Horizon Experience at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club invites travellers into the wild beauty of Kenya’s highlands, where a private guided walk led by expert naturalists leads to a secluded acacia deck—an exclusive vantage point where rhinos, giraffes, and plains wildlife gather. Set within the breathtaking Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy, the immersive journey culminates in a thoughtfully curated dining experience.
Special Happens… After Dark invites guests to explore three exclusive new offerings alongside a stellar list of nocturnal experiences.
Newly unveiled, is a Night Tour of the Yellow Crane Tower in Hanfu Costume from Fairmont Wuhan that invites visitors to step into the rich heritage of Wuhan culture. Guests will don traditional Hanfu attire and makeup before taking a chauffeured limousine ride to the iconic, millennium-old Yellow Crane Tower. There, ancient architecture meets modern elegance through an immersive light and sound show that blends cutting-edge technology with the poetic spirit of the city, all captured by a personal photographer. The evening concludes back at the hotel with a signature cocktail crafted from Yellow Crane Tower liquor.
Another brand-new offering, guests are invited to witness the magic of Tangier’s skies for the once-in-a-lifetime celestial display on 12 August with an Evening Under the Solar Eclipse. The experience at Fairmont Tazi Palace Tangier begins with a scene set with live jazz, radiant lights, and a Polaroid photo opportunity, before indulging in a private tasting of special cocktails. As the eclipse unfolds, the evening becomes a breathtaking blend of astronomy, culture, and luxury, creating a night under the sky that captures the wonder of Tangier like never before.
A newly added adventure, a celestial overnight experience at Fairmont St. Andrews, guides guests to a secluded observation dome to explore the wonders of the evening sky through a state-of-the-art telescope. The evening continues with an intimate culinary journey, as a private chef presents a seasonal menu inspired by Scotland’s finest ingredients under the starlight. Back at the property, guests can continue stargazing from their own balcony, accompanied by a celestial-inspired sparkling cocktail and rare Scottish whisky paired with local confections, offering a final indulgent moment beneath the stars.
