Local entrepreneurs showcase their services and offerings at TMS APAC 2026

The Meetings Show Asia Pacific 2026 (TMS APAC) concluded its third edition on a high note, reinforcing Asia Pacific’s position as one of the world’s most dynamic and resilient markets for the MICE industry. Held from 14–15 April 2026 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore, the show also attracted local entrepreneurs who wish to bring their offerings to new markets. I met up with three of them and here are their stories.

Healing through sound therapy

Michele Chong presents sound therapy bowls at Sirius Sound booth during TMS APAC 2026 in Singapore

Michele Chong, founder of The Sirius Sound, was keen to share awareness of sound therapy amongst the delegates at TMS APAC.  As the founder of Singapore’s pioneering evidence-based therapy studio, she has imparted the benefits of sound therapy and its medicinal properties to a global audience through lectures and workshops for corporations, government agencies and educational institutions.

As part of her ongoing efforts to promote sound therapy to a wider audience, her participation at TMS was timely. Michele, who is also an Amazon bestselling author and vocal coach, said that she was pleasantly surprised that her offerings of sound therapy were very well-received at the show. “The response has been unexpectedly good. The clients clearly know what they want and those who visited our booth, understand what sound therapy is about,” she said.

Corporate companies are increasingly interested in science-based sound therapy for workplace stress and performance as it helps their staff and clients reduce burnout, boost focus and also resets the team, she said. “Many organisations choose to work with us on a regular basis because they see that this is not just a wellness activity but a system that supports their people consistently”.

Her company can cater to up to 200 people at one therapy session that lasts from one hour to one and a half hours.  “I wish for everyone to have a balanced state of mind, and sound therapy can help them achieve this,” said Michele.

Empowering people with the transformative power of tea

Rosemary Kwa is the founder of Petale Tea which she set up in 2015 after spending years in tearooms perfecting the art of tea-making and now her company is also Singapore’s first blooming tea specialist.

Her company offers a range of products and services for today’s wellness seekers, such as blooming teas which are artisan hand-sewn tea balls, wellness teas comprising caffeine-free floral infusions, custom blends, corporate gifting, tea appreciation sessions, DIY blooming tea workshops and mindful rituals.

To further expand her field of clients, she was targeting to meet local companies, MNCs and event organisers at TMS APAC, especially those who are looking for corporate gifts.

“I have met many interesting companies at TMS, and it provides a good platform for me to introduce my products to buyers”, said Rosemary.  She also said that she is keen on expanding her business to Indonesia and Australia, as well as targeting the U.S. online market.

She has big ambitions in making Petale Tea Southeast Asia’s leading sustainable luxury tea brand by 2029.  Her business is certainly booming, which is experiencing a 20% year-on-year increase in income.

Business-wise, she wants Petale Tea to be a lifestyle brand that connects with clients emotionally and empowers their own aspirations. But at the end of the day, she wants people to slow down, reconnect with themselves and rediscover their life journey.

As for her own aspirations. “I am working towards being a public speaker in the near future”, she said with a big smile.

It’s One Dollar Only!

Ryan Yim of One Dollar Only said TMS is a good platform for him to meet new potential corporate buyers face-to-face at one venue.  This can further drive sales as referrals are made, he said.

“Clients are constantly looking for new products and services. Experiential gifting at a live session is increasingly becoming more popular. Hands-on personalisation of gifts for guests can be custom-made on the spot such as engraving their names on the gifts,” said Ryan.  “This goes beyond traditional gifting where gifts are pre-ordered and delivered but cannot be customised”.

Ryan said that his company can cater for up to 4,000 guests per event, and that he was also looking to enter the mainland Chinese and Australian markets for future expansion.

By the way, it does not mean that everything is for One Dollar Only but I admit it is a catchy name!
