American Airlines has unveiled limited-edition U.S. Soccer-themed amenity kits to mark the FIFA World Cup 2026, with the bags designed to travel with passengers from the aircraft cabin to the stadium.
The kits will debut on flights at the beginning of June and remain available through July, covering the duration of the tournament hosted across North America this summer.
American Airlines is the Official Airline of U.S. Soccer and serves as the Official North American Airline Supplier of FIFA World Cup 26 in partnership with Qatar Airways. The carrier says it will operate more domestic flights to host cities than any other U.S. airline during the tournament.
“This summer is shaping up to be incredibly exciting for American as the Official Airline of U.S. Soccer,” said Caroline Clayton, Chief Marketing Officer at American Airlines. “Not only will we help fly fans to host cities on more flights than any other domestic carrier, but these amenity kits will help build excitement and passion for the tournament — and are match day ready.”

Kit designs by cabin class
The amenity kits vary by cabin, with each designed for use beyond the flight itself. Passengers in Flagship First and Flagship Suite Preferred seats receive a clear bag with blue leather piping and a removable crossbody strap.
Those seated in Flagship Business and Flagship Suite seats get a clear bag with leather piping that converts between a belt bag and a crossbody. Premium Economy passengers receive a clear pouch with a removable wrist strap.
All kits in Flagship First, Flagship Suite Preferred, Flagship Business, and Flagship Suite cabins include hand and body lotion, lip balm, after-sun cooling gel, and soccer-style socks.
“The passion around soccer in this country continues to grow, and partnerships like this help turn that energy into experiences fans can actually see, touch and be part of,” said David Wright, Chief Commercial Officer at U.S. Soccer. “These amenity kits are a creative way for American Airlines to celebrate the summer of soccer and help fans carry that excitement with them, from the airport to the stadium and everywhere in between.”
Expanded flights and stadium celebrations
American Airlines has added 27,000 seats across 12 new and existing routes to support World Cup travel demand. The carrier is providing 1.45 million premium seats during the tournament period.
AAdvantage loyalty members have already been able to redeem miles for match tickets, with millions of miles exchanged for thousands of tickets ahead of the tournament.
The airline is also planning special gate celebrations at select airports ahead of some of the tournament’s most anticipated matches, giving travellers an additional layer of pre-game atmosphere before they board.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 is set to be one of the largest sporting events ever staged on North American soil, with matches taking place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. For American Airlines, the tournament represents a centrepiece of its summer commercial calendar, combining sports sponsorship with expanded route capacity and onboard product activations aimed directly at football fans.
The introduction of stadium-ready amenity kits follows a broader industry trend of airlines deepening their engagement with major sporting events through co-branded cabin products, particularly as carriers compete for the attention of the large international and domestic audiences expected to travel to World Cup host cities this summer.
