ITA Airways Is Bringing Back Rome to Tel Aviv Flights This Summer

ITA Airways will resume direct flights between Rome Fiumicino and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion from 1 July 2026, restoring two daily services on the route.

The Italian carrier said the renewed connection would strengthen travel options between Italy and Israel while improving access to destinations across its domestic, European and intercontinental network through its Rome Fiumicino hub.

The airline will operate two daily frequencies between the cities.

  • Flight AZ806 will depart Rome Fiumicino at 09:10 and arrive in Tel Aviv at 13:30 local time
  • Flight AZ807 will depart Tel Aviv at 14:30 and arrive in Rome at 17:15 local time
  • On Thursdays, the flights will operate on a slightly revised schedule with departures from Rome at 09:30 and from Tel Aviv at 14:50

A second daily service will operate overnight.

  • Flight AZ810 will depart Rome Fiumicino at 22:50 and arrive in Tel Aviv at 03:10 local time the following day
  • Flight AZ809 will depart Tel Aviv at 05:15 and arrive in Rome at 08:00 local time

The route will be operated using the Airbus A321neo, the newest narrow-body aircraft in the ITA Airways fleet.

The aircraft features three cabin classes:

  • Business Class with full flat-bed seats
  • Premium Economy
  • Economy Class

ITA Airways said the aircraft also offers advanced lighting systems, 4K in-flight entertainment and interiors inspired by Italian design.

According to the airline, the Airbus A321neo delivers more than 20% lower fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions per seat compared with previous-generation aircraft.

The resumed service will provide passengers with connections through Rome Fiumicino to destinations across the airline’s wider network.

Tickets are now available through the ITA Airways website, airport ticket offices, travel agencies and the airline’s customer service channels.
