TAV opens 2 lounges at JFK

Istanbul-based TAV Operation Services opened two lounges at John F. Kennedy Airport, the busiest international gateway in North America. The company plans to serve more than 200 000 passengers annually.

A subsidiary of TAV Airports, TAV OS operates 90 lounges in 28 countries and the latest addition to its portfolio is the “primeclass” lounges at New York JFK International Airport. The company will operate two lounges –one in Terminal 1 and the other in Terminal 4. Spanning an area of 773 square meters, the two lounges will provide services to more than 200 thousand passengers annually

TAV Airports CEO & President Sani Sener said, “Leaving out Istanbul Ataturk, our revenue for the first half of 2019 reached EUR 345 million, with a 9% increase. In addition to our airport operations, TAV Operation Services and its lounge business had contributed significantly to this growth.  Today, TAV OS welcomes around 8 million passengers annually, to 90 lounges it operates in 28 countries. In 2020, the company aims to provide services to more than 10 million passengers in 110 lounges in 30 countries. We are proud to be a preferred brand in the US –the largest aviation market globally.”

 

 

JFK Terminal 1 passengers already started to enjoy Primeclass experience and expecting to welcome passengers from Air China, Azerbaijan, Cayman, China Eastern, Japan Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, Norwegian, Saudia and Turkish Airlines.

Air India Primeclass Lounge in Terminal 4 currently serves Air India and Egypt Air passengers and expecting to partner with Avianca, Copa, Caribbean, Hainan, Kuwait, and South African Airlines.

Passengers can have access to both lounges via LoungeMe. Priority Pass, Lounge Key, Diners Club, Dragon Pass cardholders as well as Lounge Buddy customers will soon have access to both lounges as well.

The busiest international hub in North America and one of the four airports that serve the NYC area, JFK served 61.6 million passengers in 2018, of which 33.5 million international passengers.
